			Scotch-Irish Day 2009!

					* As Phil points out, the title is a pun on Scotch whisky, "Scottish," and "Scotch-Irish" as is commen to say in America. I didn't point this out directly enough in this first post, but there used to be a great deal of drinking at the party, and that along with the party with piper is no more. I intended no offence with the word "Scotch."Sorry about that. *

Yes, that bear wearing the flat cap was not wearing a kilt.
He wasn't wearing white hose either.

I did get some pictures wearing a straw hat and another hat, but I did not put on the flat cap while wearing the kilt.

 * And if one of you all would tell me whether the last picture or the next to the last picture has the bear wearing the hat, I would be thankful. **

Ignoring the gentle jibe at Jock regarding the "flat cap", am I correct in assuming that large quantities of "Scotch" whisky were consumed or were you in fact trying to "scotch" the rumour that kilts were an Irish garment?

Looking smart and some wonderful carvings.
I only have experience of little cacti but they can still fall over.

Those bears are very popular in Colorado also. I have a few small bears at my house, nothing too big though.

Yes, since the bear isn't wearing a kilt, I think the flat cap will get a pass this time.
