    I think the kilt is fine but the stark contrast of colour with the jacket pulls everything away from it.

    Not for me either I'm afraid but I do doff my hat to you for your personal style... You have considerably more bottle than I.

    I would have to disagree, if you are going with such a bold color for the kilt, then another bold color is required to balance the top half of the body. These two work well together. I think the jacket looks fine, though a shorter one would look even better.

    I would never wear either color myself, as I would prefer the red and yellow lines in my Hunting MacLeod to be more subdued, but you carry off the look quite well.

    Your kilt making skills are also impressive.

    This a really bold look and while I do not think that I could pull it off with such pan... ... err flair , you look good in it. It is certainly not traditional in terms of colors, but the ensemble works. You obviously know all the conventions of highland attire and are making a clear choice to take your work to the cutting edge of fashion and having fun with it.
