Oh, yeah, sorry!
Bravo Zulu McMurdo! Classy as ever!
I deleted the remainder of this message as it was inappropriate to this particular thread. Nothing wrong with the comment per se, it just irrelevant to the thread. - xena

I did not know about the ipod story, nor do I care to be quite frank, I find your comment just a wee bit insensitive as I am wearing the Royal Naval Association Tartan in memory of my late Uncle who was with the Royal Navy during WWII. Like many brave boys he lied about his age to join the fray. World War II was the defining moment of his life and the lives of his generation.

Nice casual look, and good to know that somebody else always finds it too cold in most super-stores! I noticed the make-up aisle right away but others have already "been there." The shoes in your cart, which you presumably did buy, are a better choice than the patent/tartan jobs
As for the little dust-up you and Xena are having: old tradition, meet new tradition. . . seems neither of you were aware of the other's feelings about or connection to this tartan. IMHO it is acknowledgement rather than apologies necessary, but that's just coming from the daughter of a Pearl Harbor survivor who now makes her living off Japanese car companies. . .

I would not call this a "dust up" it is just that I've now explained my side of it, and why I'm wearing it. I am not looking for an apology.

Great photos, Glen!
A year or two back, I tried getting some photos inside my nearest, and very regularly visited, branch of Tesco, but was almost escorted out of the store! 'Security' spotted what we were doing and called 'Management' who, in turn, asked if we had written permission to take photos! Apparently, although the interiors of these large stores seem to be very public, they are not public places but are private premises. If, therefore, one wishes to take photos inside the building, permission has to be sought. I did not have such permission ......... and I have not bothered to seek it since!!
Subsequently, I learned from a journalist that permission is seldom refused as long as disruption of business and annoyance of other shoppers is avoided. I guess it IS a common courtesy to ask first, but it just never occured to me!
Take care,
Ham.

I had the very same thing happen to me Ham close to twenty years ago when I was a Junior Graphic artist. My boss asked my to get photos inside a supermarket that wee were advertising for, I told them I was a student, as I was still young enough to get away with that in those days.

As a high school yearbook photographer I had that happen as I was trying to take some fashion pictures of some girls from the school buying clothes at a fancy store in the mall. I was told that permission was needed, so I took the pictures in the public area as the girls were leaving the store.

So, did you ask permission for these photos, Glen?
Even the miniscule camers we use nowadays are unlikely to escape the evil-eyes of the CCTV cameras that watch us wherever we step!
By the way, I forgot to say in my previous post: Now you know why I cannot wear Royal Stewart tartan - it is used for everything!
Take care,
Ham.

Was not arrested for the pic or the kilt.
Love the jean jacket with kilt look - one of my favorites. Have managed to acquire nine jean jackets in five colors to fuel my kilt accessory addiction.
