Fredericksburg VA Tartan Day

The Scottish Society of Fredericksburg celebrated the upcoming Tartan Day at Hugh Mercer’s Apothecary Shop in historic downtown Fredericksburg. It was a beautiful spring day. It was the perfect occasion to wear my new authentic tartan vest. I’m pictured here with the Society chief Melissa Klanecky. There were quite a number of tourist out and about that we were able to inform them about Tartan Day.

Great look, Mael. Last year we were in Alexandria together!! I couldn't make Braddock Day this year cause I was doing the Scottish Hour for children here. We should get together again sometime. Oh, I'm going to have my wife make me a "waistcoat of many tartans" one of these days!!

Mutli tartan waist coats are not for every one, but I have really enjoyed mine! Keep me oosted on trips to Virginia, Malcolm and I'll try to connect with you.
