    And Now, The Wait Begins...

Tuesday evening I ordered a Black Stewart standard from SWK, and knowing Jerry's connection with space time twisters for delivery service (he says it's Priority Mailing) I know I won't have to wait long. I intend to wear it next week as we are having an inspection team here where I work from San Antionio, TX. I guess I'll see how many heads turn when I walk past the team, I've heard that there are a few ladies on this team... Swagger and swish sets the pace.

    Cheers,

    Brian

    Congratulations.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Enjoy! My husband's first (and currently only) is the Black Stewart Standard as well. Such a handsome tartan!

Thank you sir, and my lady.
This will be my third one from Jerry. I have one of his Irish Nat'l, and a Irish Saffron, both SWK standards, I am very pleased with them and now the Black Stewart. This now makes for a total of seven for me, the other four are from Wolfstone Kilt Co. in Washington, VA. Two high end scottish wool and two wool blends. I don't know why I waited for so long to start wearing the kilts... I'm just glad I did.

    Cheers,

    Brian

I ordered Black Stewart Heavyweight from Jerry sometime Saturday & the box was waiting for me Wednesday. Dig it!

What color hose you planning on wearing with it?

    Kilt Hose with Black Stewart

    Scratchy,
Well it seems that my color choices would be black, gray, maybe off white/cream, or a deep maroon, if I could find it. A diced white and gray may work also. Do you have any suggestions?
I wear black, navy, or dark green with my Black Watch and matching BW flashes. I will also at times, try to match the hose and shirt and use the kilt to break up the colors. For example, black Highlander shirt, SWK Saffron kilt, brown belt w/ brass buckle, black hose, and brown boots. The ladies where I work love it when I come in kilted, I'm the only guy in my section.

    Cheers,

    Brian

Let's just hope the wool is comfortable.

I ordered a Stewart Black that has been sendt to me. Hopefully I wont have too much problems in customs. Good price for a wool kilt in 7-8 yards. Besides; it will feel a lot better going casual with my own tartan! Don't plan on wearing my best kilt when going out with the pipeband.

This afternoon as I was walking out the door, I saw the mail truck pulling up to the mailbox and the lettercarrier got out, walked up to me and handed me a small stack of letters and one largish Priority Mail box. Not looking, I took the mail with me and dumped everything on the shotgun seat in the truck as I was heading out to run a few errands. Sitting at a red light I took a quick look at the mail, mostly junk ads and then got to the box. The return address was from Stillwater Kilts, and that meant that I had my new Black Stewart in my hands, but, couldn't open it till I got back home. I must admit it was the longest two hours I have ever had to deal with. Upon returning home, the junk mail went into the recycle bin, the box was opened and the contents carefully removed, I was holding my new kilt and getting it in time for Easter was even better than what I'd hoped for. I'll be wearing it on Sunday to the in-laws for Easter dinner, and then again Tuesday to work when the inspection team arrives. Today has been a good day, and I'm happy with how everything turned out.
    A Happy Easter to all.

    Cheers,

    Brian

With SWK, I'm surprised that you had to wait until after you had ordered it.
