Ok, here are some photos of REAL women in our kilted skirts. MacIntyres.

and my son-in-law. (Alas, a Walters!)

    Three Generations here

    My skirt. Mid length.

Mum's sash and the Pin I made for her.

These are the hair accessories I made for us. One scrunchie and one elastic band.

ok, I'm starting to see a pattern here with men and boots... I'm a smart girl, I can pick up on these things. I happen to love the juxtaposition of clunky boots with a woman's delicate frame, I think it adds interest and playfulness, but apparently men don't feel the same way. I feel inclined to post a pic of the other boots I wore with my skirt on National Tartan Day:

That's exactly how it looked from the knees down. So ok, maybe I did deserve the Braveheart reference. But I'm curious, do you Men think this is cute at all? Because women all over the country are selling their organs to buy these boots. Just wondering, because I'm postulating a theory over here... Maybe I should put up a poll...

And yes Jock Scot, I am very happy! Thanks!

    Never after 5:00 p.m.

I will admit to being completely nonplussed once when visiting the campus of University of Miami (Florida) and saw the girls there wearing barely there minis and gi-normous fur winter boots. It was not winter. I suppose it's cute in that way that we sometimes think French poodles are cute.

At the risk of losing my shopping buddies, my take on that look is that it's an OK, ultra-casual style, suitable for college-aged girls who are on their way to get their morning coffee (provided they don't scuff their heels when they walk).

But I'm curious, do you Men think this is cute at all? Because women all over the country are selling their organs to buy these boots.
If those are Uggs, they are a huge improvement over the appropriately named originals. I worry though that two seasons from now, the gals are going to want their parts back.

    Regards,
    Rex.

only their non-vital organs, don't worry.

I'd still shop with you Rex, I love high heels too.

At my campus you're most likely to see them wearing sweatpants or sleeping pants and flip flops all day long! Not exactly a flattering look.....

I like the length and look of those boots. My wife wears some that are shorter and clunky as well as knee-high boots with her tartan skirts and I think they look good on her.

Wow, the only person wearing pants is the male in the pic? What is the world coming to?
