I have my grandfather's smoking jacket, a tie and a kilt all of the 'same' tartan. No perfect match. Oh, and a nice rug for the bed. That's what my gram called a small blanket. All a little different. Just makes it more interesting for me.
I guess I can kind of relate to that a little. The tartan has meaning, so the exact match isn't as important.
Although, for my own outfits, I think I would try to go easy on having everything in tartan.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
