    Ali, digging the outfit. Even the boots. Like much of fashion, the attitude of the wearer is more important than the actual look.

    Ali,

    Like the others, I don't see anything wrong with the outfit. That said, maybe a pair of black wool kneesocks with either the boots, or a pair of shoes might've helped keep you warmer.

    Another Picasa Find

    This image is from a web album from a Tartan Ball held in Sacramento. I liked these dancers' outfits, with a tartan top and solid color skirt.


    I think if the skirt was lengthened a bit, such an outfit would look less like a "dancer's" outfit and be very suitable to a variety of occasions. And it provides a good alternative for those ladies who prefer not to wear a tartan skirt.

    Interesting skirt



    Notice how the tartan in the skirt starts off straight and then goes to a bias cut midway down the skirt. Nice touch!
