It is comforting to read that many of you have started off with a wife/girlfriend who is negative to the kilt and gradually making her liking or accepting it.
I am just aprox 6 months in to my kilted way of life and my wife hates it and goes "Oh no, you got to stop this kilt nosense" like this is some kind of 40 age crisis. I assure you, its definetly not a mid life crisis. The kilt is for life.
My 2 daughters are embarrassed and goes nuts when I'm kilted, but my son thinks its cool. He is a Korn fan, and the frontfigure of the band often apear kilted.
I find the negative attitude from the females in my family somewhat stange, as the reactions from others are very positive. It can have something to do with all the attention the kilt generates. The girls hates the thought of me being different from the ordinary.
I'm glad that my mission to convert others to the kilt is prosperous. more and more of my friends and colleagues has taken an interest in the kilt, and several are considering buying one. I also get a lot of feedback on my website.
