In appreciation of an amazing gift
Many of you may have noticed a thread on the USAK forum a few days ago with the eye-catching title: two free kilts.
Rocky had discovered a couple of kilts in his collection that weren't being worn so he decided to offer them to members on the site. He asked that members who had more than three kilts step aside and let others get a chance to build their collection.
IMHO, it was an amazing gesture. I qualified and was lucky enough to respond in time to land a solid gray semi-trad. After a quick phone call and a few bucks from me to cover the shipping, Rocky had the kilt winging it's way to me and it arrived in today's mail.

Rocky, they'll be quite a few X-markers gathering for the Savannah Games in a few weeks... expect your ears to be burning as a we lift a glass or two in your direction.
One thing I know for sure: this will not be the last USA Kilt in my collection.
Thanks again!
Ken

By the way, today was what I would call a perfect kilt day. Before returning home to find Rocky's gift at the house, I had spent several hours with my son at his school for their Spring fair. He's getting pretty used to being around his old man in a kilt... I bet I have him in one before this year is out...

Rocky and his crew are, as always, displaying the true meaning of kindness to fellow mankind. Congratulations on your new kilt, wear it with pride. Don't forget that it is now your obligation to pay it forward to the next in line. And to Rocky job well done sir :ootd:

And right you are about that:
My wife and I, acting from this spirit of generosity, spoke to a men's clothier I patronize here in town. My wife has a graduate student who is about to sally forth with a good education, but not a lot of means. His wardrobe reflects his tough circumstances, so we decided to have the shop suit him up... just told him that there was a gift for him at the shop. He went in and was surprised when he was measured for custom shirt, suit and all the necessary accessories. He was measured up yesterday. The store owner was so inspired, he's decided to do this for two deserving students a year on his own dime...on and on it goes.
