Fie on ya, fie!
Real haggis is a wonderful thing. A gift of the gods, thing of beauty and simplicity. Just take all the best parts of the sheep, throw 'em out, and eat what's left!
Although mine isn't "real" in that I can't get a sheep's stomach in which to cook it, nor can I get all of the innards that make up a traditional haggis, it's darned close to the real thing. (So close many can't tell it's not the real thing.) And . . . it's quite tasty.
As for vegetarian "haggis," well-l-l-l-l-l-l, Cynthia--I just don't know about that! Sounds awfully strange to me.Who could eat vegetables cooked in a stomach? Sounds awful. (Says the guys who eats innards in a stomach.)
