Yeah, the name of that jacket is a bit confusing. Read the disclaimer about jacket names at the end of our article here:
    http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/which_jacket.htm

Basically, most companies call a plain cuff jacket a "craill" jacket, but in the case of House of Edgar, who made that jacket, "Craill" in their in-house name for a charcoal grey jacket with Braemar cuffs. Don't ask me why.

You know it's funny when I bought my jacket I was told it was an Argyll, I did question the salesman about it as the cuffs were a Braemer style. In the end the name matters not, the jacket itself will prove a great addition to your highland wardrobe.

I have the same set: isn't it nice? (thanks again, Matt & STM)

And just to keep it interesting: the tag inside the right-hand, inside breast pocket says "ARG JACKET". I'll bet they use the same tag for the black Argyll and the charcoal Braemar/Craill...

Whatever we call it, I agree with Glen that it's a very versatile garment. I'll bet we could add a wing collar and silver tie, and call it morning dress. In a pinch, it might do for black tie, but I'd rather have something black like the black Argyll & 3-button vest. Or the PC, since I already have this for almost all other occasions.

Looks nice. Definitely a versatile jacket and waistcoat.
