And just to keep it interesting: the tag inside the right-hand, inside breast pocket says "ARG JACKET". I'll bet they use the same tag for the black Argyll and the charcoal Braemar/Craill...

Whatever we call it, I agree with Glen that it's a very versatile garment. I'll bet we could add a wing collar and silver tie, and call it morning dress. In a pinch, it might do for black tie, but I'd rather have something black like the black Argyll & 3-button vest. Or the PC, since I already have this for almost all other occasions.
