I agree, Kid Cossack, but remember: any job is easy when you have the right tools.

I've actually had a woman I didn't know make a pass at me while standing next to her husband. The answer for that was a no brainer for TWO reasons.

It would seem that the kilt is the equivalent of tail feathers on a male peafowl for human males. The kilt is simply advertising. Instead of advertising the health of our immune system (as the peacock fan does), it's advertising our confidence and self-assuredness. Things that I've been told are attractive to females of our species.

I went to a farmer's market this weekend as well, but I stayed near my wife the whole time.
I still did get a number of positive comments, and I didn't even feel any negative "vibes" (which are probably mostly imagined anyway).

These two ladies wanted a photo with me at the games, of course i had to have
one for me self. They were leaving for home(Scotland this week). The one on the right said I looked like her grand.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have noticed that because of the attention I get in the kilt, I tend to walk stronger and be very specific about my posture, which I normally don't worry about.
The kilt is a grand focal point for all that.

Interesting thread. Hind-sight being 20/20, this is really thought provoking.
I now notice that when I wear my kilt to work, or mention the kilt, or anything kilt related, the "alpha" males at the office get a little antsy. They throw more crude jokes and rather dry humor my way. All the while seeming a little scared of their choice of leg garment.
I wore my kilt to church last weekend and had a gaggle of little old ladies come talk to me for a while. My wife was a trooper. One of them even grabbed my sporran to ask what it was.

When I wear my Kilt out, it makes me proud and forward. I look people more in the face, like, "are you going to say something?". All my 'connections' downtown just accept me and it makes others that might not know me, decide to 'back off' or 'come forward'. Even a guy I know who has been rude to me lots of times when I first was kilted, walks up to me nowadays and shakes my hand and acts like he is my best bud.
