Welcome to the forum. I bought my tank from their San Francisco store a few years ago. The store personnel were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the six months it took for delivery of the kilt. However, they had given me a loaner kilt until mine arrived. I haven't dealt with them since they left San Francisco.

Hello and welcome to XMTS from the United Kingdom's south coast.
Whilst on a visit to Palm Springs just over two years ago I called at CCC's HQ store there only to experience poor service and attention in a retail store that looked as if it had never been tidied or cleaned. I vowed never to return.
Several months ago, there were press reports that the owners had been raided by the US authorities for importing and selling seal skin (sporrans), but I had no means of finding out if the store had been closed down. In the meantime, it appeared that their website had not been updated for some considerable time and, in fact, most of it was shown as being 'Under construction'.
A few weeks ago, I was again in Palm Springs and quite unintentionally found myself walking past the CCC store. A quick glance in the main window showed a dishevelled and very dusty display, and peering through the glass door the entire store could be seen thick with dust. There were scraps of paper everywhere and a pile of unopened mail lay on the floor below the letter-box - it must have been there for months.
It was obvious that the store had not been opened, nor even visited by the owners, for a long time. Sadly, I have no knowledge of the present state of affairs regarding their branch in Edinburgh.
I am so sorry to hear of your or your wife's problem with this company and trust that you will find a way to getting your money returned, but I would not be too hopeful.
Take care,
Ham.
