Packing a kilt

I have folded a kilt into thirds after closing the aprons as if it were being worn; then folded it at some point in the fell area while putting a rolled up shirt or something in the folded part to keep it from having a sharp bend. Hang it up and give it some steam or the shower vapor treatment as soon as you are able, and any wrinkles fall out.

You could leave it on your hangers, I've done that for short trips, in fact, that's what i'm doing when I head up to Albuquerque friday.

Rolled, my kilt fits diagonally in a carry on size case. I have also bent the roll to fit it in a duffle with no ill results.

I have always found the rolled the best way, then a quick hang up and shower
treatment usually takes care of any wrinkles.
