I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

from coastal North Carolina. I have a semi-trad from Rocky and can attest to its quality, Even though it's a 5yd kilt, most people don't recognize the difference.

Welcome from another Michigander! If you want to get into a kilt fast, try Stillwater Kilts, should be a link at the bottom of the page. Also, next weekend there is a Highland Festival in Alma, MI. 15 minutes south of Mount Pleasant, you could try there. My first kilt is a hand woven, hand sewn, made in Scotland 8yd. kilt I ordered from a Scottish shop in Lake Orion, MI. It is called Highland Fling. I also have a USAKILTS semi-trad and it is very well made as well. But, for a kilt fast Stillwater might be the way to go.
