    You know...I'm part of Lamont (Being a Brown), and I've always felt it to be one of the more boring tartans. Go for an ancient or the heather.

    A bolt of tartan (the minimum for a run) is 60 metres, in Polyviscous. If we select one form of the tartan, and enough of us pony up the money, it becomes doable.

    My vote is for the ancient first, weathered second.

    A am a Brown also, and may have ties to Lamont, but have yet to prove it.

    My advice to a question of this sort is, just go with what you like, as a kilt is as dressy as its accessories. If you can get what you want in PV, (and that is what you want, so much the better.
