Spent this morning with my Lodge Brothers laying a wreath at the grave of Col. William Harman, a Lodge Brother (and Grand Master Mason of the Grand Lodge of Virginia at the time of his death) who was killed by Federal fire at the Battle of Waynesboro on March 2, 1865. It is estimated that Thornrose Cemetery, here in Staunton, has as many as 2,000 Confederate dead buried within its precincts.
