Full Metal Jacket (The best--5 stars!)
    Sands of Iwo Jima
    They Were Expendable
    Back to Bataan
    In Harm's Way (5 star)
(are you starting to see a trend here?)
    We Were Soldiers, And Young
    Brave Heart
    Zulu
March or Die (kind of a war movie)
Casablanca (Best movie ever made. It was during the war and about the war, but not military.)

    Oh. Lord. I left of:

    Caine Muntiny
    Winds of War
    War and Remembrance

eWouk know how to write a book! He really set me up with old Queeg, then I wanted to kiss the guy by the time the defense attroney was through with all the young punks! If you don't know what this means, you REALLY need to see (or better yet, read) Caine Munity.

I really think 10 is not enough, there are so many great war pictures, thescot, my favourite film of all time is Casablanca, IMHO it's a perfect film, thanks for bringing it up, not sure why I forgot it.

Often overlooked, but right up there with Casablanca, is "To Have and To Have Not"... it has the same "fringe of war" setting, but the on screen chemistry between Bogart and Bacall ... yikes!

The way Lauren Bacall delivered the line below, I'm amazed she didn't melt the camera lens:

You know you don't have to act with me, Steve. You don't have to say anything, and you don't have to do anything. Not a thing. Oh, maybe just whistle. You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and... blow.

One of my favourite lines ever, it always gets me to this day, do you remember the old Warner Brothers cartoon with the wolf?
