Ghillie Brogues are a matter of personal taste... me, I like them and do wear them quite a bit... I've always found them comfortable which is not the case for many others. But oxfords, standard brogues, etc. would be fine, too. As a guest at the wedding, I'd probably opt for the semi-dress sporran... but don't think it would be an issue for you to wear the one in the pic, either. Bottom line: it's a great look as is.

The look is "spot on". But surely you knew that, and this was just a test, wasn't it? I mean, to see who didn't know, right?

Ghillie Brogues are a matter of personal taste, for a wedding though why not wear them. One last thing, before you go to the wedding be sure to wash your face.
McMurdo has summed up my thoughts exactly. BTW, that is a striking tartan. Have fun at the wedding!

Hello RedLichtie, glad to meet you.
What a great look, like Charcoal Tweed myself.
If you are a bit camera shy, do what I do.
Use a picture of Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise or McMurdo
or any of these young hunks, it often does the trick.
