What kind of kilt, newbie needs advice!

Before you have another closet space filler, you may want to read a thread in the "Kilt Advise" forum on Kilt waist VS jeans waist. I haven't the skill to figure out how to put a link here for it, sorry. A fair warning is that every kiltmaker/vendor measures things differently. If you are interested in a Freedom Kilt by Steve Ashton, you will need to use his measuring guide and follow it accurately. Best to be measured by another person. Steve's system only works for Freedom Kilts, and will not work if you are getting a Semi-trad from Rocky at USA Kilts. Rocky uses a different system to make the kilt fit the man.

You indicate that you are a Gentleman of Substance. There are many on this forum, and you will have great company here. I am sure some of them can post here to help you choose the way to a comfortable and good looking kilt choice.

Many of us are educators, some are full time, and others of us are volunteer. I teach Sunday School to kindergartners kilted.
