For the uneducated, Kokopelli is on petroglyphs all over the Southwest. It is believed he was Zuni and Hopi and was the god of fertility and good harvest.
The folksinger Dean Cook wrote a very funny song about the "humped-back galoot with a parrot and a flute" which talks about Kokopelli's newfound popularity. My favorite line is:

"Did he really drink espresso? Well I don't know, but I guess so -- there's a coffee bar that says so in Jerome!"
