			Oops, sort of

Last week my girlfriend if I would go to the symphony with her. I said "Sure. Can I wear the plumage?"
So we showed up at the symphony, I was wearing my casual Rob Roy, white long sleeve dress shirt, black pinstripe vest, black and red sporran, cream hose(all I have right now, black dress shoes. I had several people stop me, and compliment me on the kilt, including one of the staff members at the venue who asked me if I won best dressed. I said "Yes. She took over all, but I took the male category."

A friend of ours was there, wearing a utilikilt, he came through the same gate we did, after we got there, and the ticket taker told him that he was the second kilted man he'd seen that night. While we were talking, a strange yong man came up to us and said he liked the kilts. By strange I mean, unknown to either of us.

I felt a little bad about getting more attention than my girl, at least I got more verbal attention, I'm sure she turned her fair share of heads.

Wife still has problems with the "Peacock" issue, cie la vie, it is what it is.
Course she always thinks I'm showing off; cowboy hats to Prince Charlie's don't matter I'm putting on a show while she is "just wearing this old rag"....and diamonds......and purses........and turns heads

my wife and I were out for our anniversary Sunday, I was wearing jeans, and I cpmplained that had I known we would actually get out, I'd have worn my kilt. She replied something like 'I thought you didn't wear your kilt for me' but i told her the simple truth of 'no, I wore jeans because I thought we were going to the mall for lunch. If we dressed how the other wanted, you'd be in a short skirt and low cut top' and she just shrugged.
