    Huniting attire jacket

While back I recall seeing a kilted gentleman wearing what could only be described as a hunting jacket. As I recall it had leather elbow's and a shoulder pad sewn onto the jacket which was a green color and cut away as a normal kilt jacket would be cut.

Anyone remember seeing this - and - is it a common kind of garment for walking the hills and perhaps chasing a bird or other critter?

I don't know how common it is, but I think The Scottish Tartans Museum has you covered:

If it was the shooting jacket from Empire Canvas Works they are available at The Scottish Tartan Museum. I have one and love it for cooler weather.

Folks have already posted the link to our web site where you can purchase a kilt-cut shooting jacet (thanks!), so I thought I'd add my own pics. This jacket gets lots of wear in the winter!

Only a Canadian could describe calf deep snow as "cooler weather". Notice how when Matt says winter he has bare trees and fallen leaves but no snow in his background.
