I wonder if the separation of the Sims program is due to the way modern pcs are organised with facilities for different users, so the program is kept as 'your parts' and 'general parts'.
If there is only one user then it is not very obvious that the pc is actually divided into separate access areas.
Talking about Windows Seven today I was told that here in Europe there will be a complete stand alone OS available fairly soon, but in the US there will be an upgrade available, but you must already have a previous OS on the machine.
My main problem will be with the lack of a browser. If we change to W7 then I'll be hoping that the DH will have organised something to look after my mail and the several dozen rules which sort it into the relevant folders. Otherwise I might drown beneath an avalanche of mail.
