Glad it worked out so well. Some interesting dietary info post on this thread!
After my mother's death a few months ago, I had some experiences which drove my BP through the roof. My doctor was worried enough to put me on that same medication. But give up hamburgers? Moi??
Well, at least for Lent.

Glad you're ok! Had that happen last year, but with heart irregularities. Have been on Lisonipril with hctz since and have had no problems.

Just so you know, GERD attacks can often be almost indistinguishable from a heart attack. Antacids don't work, but simethicone is a major blessing..and cheap when bought as a generic.

I've been on Lisinopril -& others since 2005 ( I had the heart-attack) BUT the nutrition class gave valuable information; "No foods should be seen as totally banned- that will make for cravings and inevitable "fall". Eat 'no-no' foods, but very rarely; Pizza, Hamburgers, etc is fine, just not every week, and in small portions". I now have Prime Rib three times a year. The same with Pizza, and Mexican. Just not the WHOLE Pizza etc. Once a week I go to the pub, and have three beers the whole night. Am now quite used to it, and feel whoozy if I drink a sip more than that. (Being andAussie, I used to drink eight or nine!).
Take it easy, eat sensibly, and good health!

WATCH THAT BLOOD PRESSURE!!!!!! They don't call it the silent killer for noting. Heart attack is only one concern. You could have a brain attack (Stroke). So please be attentive. I would like all of you to be around awhile longer.
