To amend to the fact that my Flower of Scotland kilt is very hot... it's way hotter than my 13oz kilt.
It is a military height, so it rises about 2" higher than my other kilts. It's 16oz wool and 8 yards (the pleats are deep and there are plenty of them... about 5/8th" per pleat).
My other kilts are closer to 3/4" per pleat, 7 yards, 13oz wool.
I just ordered my Lamont Modern 16oz, 8yd about a month ago... but only because the 16oz was cheaper than the 13oz they had on Scotweb.

George, I wonder if the "authentic" look of the kilt might not help to draw the crowds. But, then, I haven't heard you play!
But you have that tropical look of kiltwearing nailed down.

Heat notwithstanding, thanks for sharing the pic and the adventure. There really is something about the kilt that folks find irresistible.

i acully had a drive by picture taking they slowed down took my piture as i walked down the street and then they drove off
