You will see in it what sporrans Glen and I used for different levels of formality.

I have a Fergusson Britt sporran and not only is it lovely, it is appropriate for all manner of dress. If I was advising someone just starting out I would suggest they get two sporrans. A nice brown Freelander for day wear and a Fergusson Britt sporran for everything else.
