Rght on both points. It IS the MacDonald Modern and it IS a Pakistani made kilt. In case people ask 'how can you tell it's a Pakistani kilt from that pic', here' you go... I can tell it is a Pakistanin kilt b/c of a few things:
1. The straps are pointed and look pretty flimsy.
2. The buckles are stamped and look like the one on the Pakistani kilt we keep in the shop (as an 'example' of Bright Skye).
3. See the horizontal stitching about 2" down from the top? That's where Pakistani Kilt makers sew in their 2" canvas lining reinforcement strips (stitching them THROUGH the front of the kilt).
4. The little bit of fell (the first 2 pleats on the right side of the pic) you can see isn't sewn down.
