Welcome to the Teksbury Owners Club, nice way to join. The kilt looks great, I think as was stated before once dressed with the Sporran and Belt the skew is less noticeable and perhaps is not really a problem. Nice hose I love the stuff Hawick does those are no exception, good for you.

    Hi Jeff,

I grew up in Canada (Kapuskasing, Ontario) and the Maple Leaf tartan has been one of my favourites for as long as I can remember.

As to the kilt - I can see nothing wrong with it. My opinion - it's your body that is deformed - sort that out and all will be well.

    Regards

    Chas

Thanks for noticing, Chas. Believe me I know what I look like from seeing it in the mirror several times a day. Like the number 8 tilted on a 45 degree angle I got a big gut above and a big but below (wife say I "got back") which does cause some issues with the kilt, like keep the darn things on my theoretical waist----tough when your wait and hip measurements are almost identical. You should see me in cycling bibs with a tight cycling jersey----like 10 pounds of ham in a 5 pound bag. Not pretty.

But really, the tartan is skewed. I have some ideas, particularly one provided by Steve of Freedom kilts, that might work if I can figure out how to get it done. Probably the easiest thing to do would be to just walk around constantly leaning to my left when I wear it and maybe no one would notice the kilt tartan skew. ;)

    Thanks for your comments.

Perhaps you should carry a flask around with you to make the lean more believable?

Seriously, you have an absolutely gorgeous kilt! Congratulations! to you, and Bravo! to Barb!
