Rotten luck red. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Although it is little comfort to you realize you are not alone---we are all here to listen and help in any way we can.
As a physician I am familiar with and work with cancer patients every day, and all we can really offer is what we have, which in your case is limited and experimental. As a regular person I have witnessed the passing of my ex-wife from stage 4 pancreatic last year, my close friend and first cousin from stage 4 colon just this week (whose funeral I am attending tomorrow here in Staunton, VA), and have another close friend and colleague from work also undergoing treatment for stage 4 pancreatic right now.
IMHO opinion things like this in our lives just plain suck---there is nothing fair about it. The best we as friends can do is offer to be there and help in whatever way YOU want us to, and to try to make your life easier. Do not hesitate to ask for help---that is what we are here for, when ever you need it. You have lots of friends here on xmarks who care about you, whether or not they know you well. We are here for you.
