I would say you should confront this issues with other members. I'm sure there are other people who feel the way you do about this.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Thanks Paul. I have in fact tried this route over the course of the past 3 years (right up to this morning!), but it seems the National body has no stomach for taking action. Thus the position I find myself in.
Perhaps they'll prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

Seems like this current crowd is much less clan and much more society and from the sound of things, that's not likely to change.
Misery is optional - cut your losses.

If National will not take action then they deserve what they get, including your resignation.

BoldHighlander;
In situations like this, I have often said "When you are not happy whith where you're at, it's time to pack your bags and move on". It sound s like you have a new "home" waiting for you. I say go for it.

Join Clan MacKenzie. We need help from your side of our state.

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Is Rod MacKenzie still involved?

to quote the famous cartoon character Popeye, "I've had all I can stands, and I can't stands no more!"
Sounds to me like time to move on to greener pastures, although I would definitely request an exit interview from those above you in your current organization, so that you can clearly and plainly (and hopefully earnestly) explain your reasons for leaving. If they care about your leaving or threatening to leave they will listen, and maybe there is some hope for the future there. If they ignore your request or grant it but ignore your pleas to fix the issues involved, then it was never meant to be with that clan.
As others have said, life is too short to not be happy in your life, as much as you can have an effect over at least.

Thanks Robert
...and thank you to everyone who posted/pm'd their thoughts on the subject & took part in the poll. I greatly appreciate all your thoughts.
I think in the end I already knew the answer & was just postponing the inevitable. Its hard thing when you've given so much of yourself to something & in the end it turns sour, but as many have said "life is too short".
Thanks again everyone.
**a note to the mods:**
could we consider this thread/poll closed? Thanks.
