First, a blurry but good shot of me taking part in the bonny knees contest. Even though I threw my garter ties into the audience for the ladies i still got knocked out in the first round! But look at those well turned calves.
The next day we all chipped in on an early and blustery morning to get our tent set up.
We met with the McMurdos (Squeaky and Dragon, that is) and were already cold and exhausted from the journey the night before and two performences.. (With one to go.)
I look terrible in this picture but we were all very happy.
The 'Historical re-enactors' were fun but their outfits were far from Historically accurate.
And the landscape was beautiful and could absolutely have been Scotland. It made me very homesick.
One of the stalls sold great Pirate related Kilt stuff. Here are some of the buckles.
The Re-enactors offered a challenge. A dollar to spar with them. 5 dollars to duel with them. Best 3 out of 5 and if you won you got 20 bucks.
I tried but I am so very rusty that I lost.
Harold and his wife Brenda sparred for quite a while.
Then Harold sparred with the Re-enactor.
Then Harold and I sparred. (A nice video in spite of Diane's 'I've never been trained to fight with swords' commentary.') :P
