You look really sharp in your Maple Leaf.
In Scotland we quite often see male participants in the Highland dance competitions, including a few who take part in the adult contests.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.

The boxlike drum used by the ceilidh band is called a "cajon" basically a wooden box with a tone hole that you sit on and play, they come in many different woods and styles, some with adjustable snares inside and some even have foot pedals to alter the sound.
