Nice pics, how were the bugs this year?
Thanks very much for the info on the drum. It's a fascinating instrument because it's just a box but can produce an amazing variety of sounds.
The bugs were non-exhistant last weekend.

The brown sporran strap was something I made out of scrap leather I had lying around. I simply took the strap from my Fergusen Britt sporran (the black one I'm wearing above), laid it out in front of me and copied it exactly. It only took me about twenty minutes and the best part is I made it almost entirely using just one tool: a sgian dubh!

Thanks for the compliments. The Maple Leaf kilt was made by Burnett’s & Struth. I won it on an Ebay auction. When it got to me the waist and length were perfect, but the hip measurement was too small. So, I had it altered by Ann Stewart, a retired kiltmaker in Catskill, NY.
