    Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders

    I do not have any other info regarding this photo, other than its of an Argyll:



    The following photo was given to me to use by Donna Smillie on my website dedicated to the A&SH's (2nd Bn) of WWI (along with copies of same ones Rex posted on pg 5 of this thread):

    Captain McAinsh - Padre - Sergeant Houston, and NCO's.

    Officers of the Argylls 11th Battalion
    1917


    Men from the 2nd Battalion in the trenches holding bombs made from tin cans.
    Flanders 1915


    Recipients of the VC:
    Escorting a British convoy near La Brassée in April 1915 these three men
    from the Regiment beat off an attacking German patrol of 50.


    John Alexander McLaren.
    He surived the Great War and was de mobbed from
    the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders in 1918.


    Group of soldiers from the Territorial Battalion of the Seaforth Highlanders
    a.k.a. the (5th) Sutherland and Caithness Highlanders.
