Hmmm! Did you just plant cheeks on the seat that others might have to sit on next? Or that someone might have spilled something on.
I always wonder how others handle that situation. I tend to scoop up the back of the kilt to cover the seat and sit on it instead of letting it drape all around. I also would have tucked the front a bit. Not because it would bother me if anyone saw underneath, but mostly to make them feel more comfortable.
