Z and I have discussed starting our own Flat Cap Confederation forum, kind of an "xmarkstheflatcap" so to speak. We were going to invite you to provide the opening invocations, and you and Mac O' Rath were to be entered into our honorary hall of fame immediately. We were trying to keep it a surprise but I just cant hold back the excitement any longer.

We now return to your regulalry scheduled programming.

Zardoz, how cool to seperate the normal kilted business look and still be able to incorporate a non-costume Halloween look! Aside from the obvious beauty of the kilt and the lady in the photo I'm also liking the BIG sporran.

I do my best to keep my 'dress up' and 'dressed out' kilts separate. The 'dressed out' (better) kilts I normally wear with shirt and tie, but otherwise wear with anything from a woolly jumper to the ocassional t-shirt. 'Dress up' kilts I wear with a fluffy shirt to Ren faires and Halloween parties, and even the back-woods cretins I'm usually surrounded by can see the difference.
I suppose, in my experience, it's more about what you wear *with* the kilt than that you wear the kilt.

Most of clinical staffing this morning was spent planning our agency Halloween party on the 23rd so I do have to come up with something again. Hoping to steal some ideas from this thread.

With an outfit like that, you need some Ying&Yang earrings to go with it!

Thanks guys! Yes that is the Caledonia tartan. It's a lovely and versatle tartan that goes with every color of shirt or hose I own. It's in a USA Kilts Semi-Trad here. The sporran is a Buzz Kidder.
And if you think Crissy looked good as the candy corn witch, you're not alone, so many customers took her picture that day I started trying to charge them for it! You should see her pictures from the Texans cheerleader tryouts though!

It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Didn't find the color of facepaint, and had a mustache problem that day. I tried though.
