I have a few whistles but my favourites are my wooden fipple Clarke in C, and my Shaw low D whistle (also with a wooden fipple). They both have a wonderful airy sound.

I am glad I am not the only one!!

Yeah I have a clark in C and D, wood fipple.....they're so cheap...but sometimes the sound is just right....

lately I have been playing alot of slow airs.... and my Alba Low D is perfect for this, such a unique sound....

Yep I've got a few whistles...

I started playing GHB in 1974 and by 1977 or thereabouts was also playing uilleann pipes, Irish flute, and whistles.

My newest whistle, not in this photo, is a fantastic "MK" Low D in green anodised aluminum.

Basically I prefer the tone/performance of Generations for higher whistles and I have Generations in A, Bb, Bnat, C, C#, and Eb. My favourite high D though is a tweaked Feadog I've been playing since the late 70's.

For lower whistles I love Burkes and I have them in low F, G, and A. I have a Burke high D ("session bore") that I use when I need more volume than the rather quiet Feadog provides.

Since Burkes are pricey I have the cheaper Susatos to fill in keys I seldom need: Low C, Eb, E, F#, Ab.

I like Generations and Soodlums. Maybe because they're so cheap and I'll never be good enough to need anything else.
