Yes, we know Lorain, they are chrysanthemums, but as said earlier they serve the purpose of being recognized as Dandelions. (There is not much of a market for artificial dandelions.) In the last two years in having Joann's flowers in my bonnet, I have yet to have anyone say, why do you have chrysanthemums in your bonnet? Conversely, I have yet to go to a Highland Game or walk the streets of Edinburgh without someone saying, "Dandelions, you must be a XMarker!"

I have seen artificial ones, next time I am in the shop I will investigate more fully. I think they may have been made of paper but looked very much like the real thing. Lorain

Yep, after seeing Zardoz's post, I stopped into the new JoAnn's Fabric store in Horseheads or Big Flats NY (not sure which town it is actually located in) on my way up to the Niagara Celtic Festival. Santa Kona and I had them in our bonnets on Sat. Looked enough like dandelions for us.

Not much of a call for dandelions. One doesn't go to a flower shop to get a bouquet of dandelions for a sweetheart. Just Moms and grandmas get bouquets of real dandelions in the Spring from their daughter and granddaughters.

Darned unusual Vincent, if you ask me. Most of the ones with which I'm familiar have less than stellar braking. The transition from motorcycle courier to deep-sea swimmer could have been seamless.

The box from Chas with the Wythcombfaire Dandelions arrived yesterday.

I still need to package these and set a price for them.

But I thought I would give you a taste.

The motorcycle courier slowed his machine to a stop after first checking the road behind him and then indicating his intention. After parking in a safe and secure area so as not to inconvenience pedestrians or other road users, the courier found the deep-sea swimmer and identified himself to him.

The courier and the swimmer exchanged passwords and secret handshakes. The goods were handed over and the swimmer set off. His departure went unnoticed by the general public because of the impromptu glove puppet display by the courier.

Contrary to all popular misconceptions there were no seams involved in this operation.

    Regards

    Chas

I was a motorcycle courier the summer between High School and College except I did not have a Vincent Black Shadow, but this whole thread has got me thinking about this:
