Account and profile information

I just want to make a quick comment/suggestion regarding user profile and account data as a result of a recent experience.

When posting in the "For Sale" or "Swap" areas of the forum, posters should take care to ensure that their contact information (such as notification e-mail address) are current and up-to-date.

If not, it may result in potential buyers wishing to send a note or offer to purchase and that note not getting received.

You are absolutly correct about that. I set the software of the forum to send me an email when someone tries to send a PM or email and it doesn't go through because the person has not updated their profile in about 39 years.

I currently get about 20-25 notifications a day of bad email addresses listed in members profiles.

I am working through these and trying to notify the member and ask them to update their profile but I can only do about 5 or 6 a day and still get some Kilts made.

So Please, if you haven't looked at your user profile in a while, please do me a favor and check. Make sure the email address listed is your actual address today and not the one you had way back when you first registered.
