and now for something competely different
I am making a Renaissance doublet.
The pattern is available here: http://members.cox.net/moirandalls/patterns.htm
It's blue-gray, and as of right now it's going to be unlined, though perhaps I will go hog-wild with some extra polyester tartan that I've got and line it.
I gotta say, making a simple garment from a pattern, like this doublet, is a LOT easier than making a kilt.
BTW, Randall has patterns for making your own balmoral, tam and glengarry.
