I have a kilt in the Cladish tartan from USAK http://www.usakilts.com/store/cas_kiltpage.php that I am very fond of, so your Browns tartan looks great. Although I do like the suggestion of adding the green line for the grass/astroturf. But I say go for it! Living near Knoxville, I do know that there is a Volunteer (UT Knoxville) tartan, so why not some NFL tartans?

Here in Ottawa, The owner of the Scottish and Irish store had a tartan woven for the NHL Ottawa Senators, the "Sens Tartan"

Foundation launches Sens TartanScottish and Irish Store place to find wide array of new clothingWednesday, 17.12.2008 / 3:11 PM / Features By Rob Brodie The Ottawa Senators now have a tartan to call their own.

The Scottish and Irish Store, in conjunction with the hockey club and the Sens Foundation, have launched the Sens Tartan. Designed by one of the largest woollen mills in Scotland, it incorporates the Senators team colours and was created to build a cultural connection with the 40 per cent of the Ottawa-area population that has a British and Irish heritage.

The Senators are the first National Hockey League team to have its own tartan, which has been registered with the Scottish Tartan Authority.

With each purchase, 14 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to Roger's House through the Sens Foundation.

I say go for it, but try to involve the team some how, and a charity and you might have better luck.

Its the orange one. For kilt length it would be a custom run, but for a tie you can purchase that from the UT Bookstore website.

    GO VOLS!
