I once wore my saffron kilt with a St. Georges cross Rugby shirt. Got all favourable responses until the pic was posted on the interweb. Then some yob from Scotland commented online with less that favourable words about wearing a symbol of England with a Scottish kilt. I wrote a rather terse (and somewhat intelligent) response & follow up email. I received an abrubt appology and parted with him a little better educated. I'll not wear that shirt with a kilt again because I'd rather not poke the bear a second time but really it's not my problem if someone shows his ignorance. I suppose if questioned one could say it's really just St. Patrick's cross, just a little squinty.
