For what it is worth - if it were given to me, I would wear it. We don't quibble about saltire sporrans and kilts; Welsh tartan and dragon kilts, so what's the big deal?
Regards
Chas

With tongue placed firmly in cheek.
Why, even Americans wear the kilt these days, I wonder what they can think up?

I'd love to see a red leather sporran with a white dragon on it. As much as I love kilts and my bit of Scottish heritage, I AM mostly of Saxon stock and am quite proud of that.

Not that sporran, I hope.

You need to PM A_Hay! about such a sporran. He can make you a beautiful one.

Now there's an idea! I thought only the women wore those Welsh hats? Perhaps a different Welsh national symbol would be better instead. I think a daffodil would smell better than a leek, though.
I'm actually 7/8 English and 1/8 Irish, and my wife is 3/4 English and 1/4 Scottish, but neither of us has Welsh ancestry. However, for reasons best known only to my parents, I have a Welsh name.

Cheers, Graham.
Surely you know that in the Swiss flag the cross doesn't extend to the edges like it does in the English one? Mind you, with the white 'fur' around the edges it could look like a Swiss flag from a distance, if you squint a bit.

Could be worn on St George's day or by renegade Scotsmen supporting the wrong team...

As an American who is half English, one-quarter Scottish, and one-quarter Irish, I think that sporran is pretty cool.

Ahem, gentlemen...

Today must be opposite day, now where did I put that memo stating this?
...And McClef, what do you mean the wrong team?
