    Are those done flat on the upper part and sewed up the back? The foot looks like it is done in the round. Nice looking hose.

    very nice! I've been admiring that pattern for a long time. It's always a challenge to make hose for people with big calves (I'm looking at you, captmac, and yes, I will finish them someday), but so worth the extra math involved. Keep us posted!

    THe whole sock is done in the round. but the pattern produces a nice line up the back side of the calf.
