Working for an engineering firm and outside on the jobsite nearly everyday around machinery, asphalt, concrete and the like I wouldn't think of wearing my kilt to work. In fact our dresscode, such as it is, doesn't even allow the wearing of shorts. However evenings and weekends are another matter.

We have a business casual atmosphere where I work. As long as I keep up a neat appearance, the bosses don't care. They did at first, but HR said that it is protected by co. policy as cultural.

They did? My HR said the opposite, even though, as I pointed out, the company was founded by a Scotsman.

I don't really wear mine very often, but when I do I get hardly a second glance. I could probably get away with wearing it more often, but haven't been particularly struck to.

Omni-Group makes applications & games for MacOS. I was trying to make a pun off the words omni & giant.

I'm a contractor for Hughes Net and I can wear whatever I jolly-well see fit. I just try and be presentable for the customer.
