I like the slit pockets on my UK Mocker. They are deep enough that even my wallet does not make a bulge. Some folks complain that they are too deep.
I also like the cargo pockets on my Compass model Alphakilt . They are removable using the MOLLE/PALS webbing system - so I can easily convert the kilt to make it sporran ready.

I did go one further with my sporran being MOLLE on my RKilt. I think MOLLE and pockets on a contemporary kilt are very complimentary of each other. I would really like to see more exploration of this system with kilts. For those unfamiliar with this system.
