    Rather than a kilt, it looks more like they took a pair of too long denim shorts and unbifurcated them. The little split in the front looks like the spot where it would split to short if an inseam were intact. Also, it looks to barely have 4 or 5 pleats, and those that are there don't really look sown in. It's more just that fabric is baggy enough to fall that way.

    I would not consider that to be a kilt. The zipper in the front eliminates the right side apron. That being said, if you can pull it off,...then go for it.
